A new day, like the breath of spring
Yet, troubled is my heart,
While joy too quickly comes and goes
My sorrows ne`er depart.
I take this broken soul of mine
And hand it to our Lord,
Believeing in His love devine
And trusting every word.
He comforts and consoles me
And gives me strength anew,
As He gathers all the fragments
For there`s nothing He can`t do.
He gladly holds each fragile piece
And gently mends my soul,
He will not hand it back to me
Until He`s made it whole.
Now, even when the skies turn black
And smiles seem too few,
With faith, I`ll see the sun again.
With God I`ll make it through.
